Camping 101.

Camping is not my favorite thing to do (in case you don't know me). We had a TON of fun, but I much prefer clean, crisp white hotel linens to sleeping outdoors anyday.  This year we were able to borrow a trailer from our OH. SO. SWEET & generous friends, the Gardners. Thank you guys- I couldn't have done it without you!

Food & Song

Have I told you about this cookbook?

 

You have to run out & buy it right away. Every recipe I've tried, we have LOVED! Not just LIKED, we have LOVED!!!  And they are easy (for the most part).  That's it for the food portion, now on to the song part.

Zee Avi- Bitter Heart (or any song for that matter! Her voice is lovely. You'll get that feeling you had when you first heard Norah Jones, I promise)

Slow Club- Thinking, Drinking, something, something (I forget the last two)

Zooey Daschnel- Anything she sings. Her voice is so so pretty.

Yusuf Islam- Any guesses who that might be?  Remember Cat Stevens? Apparently he turned Muslim & changed his name to Yusuf. Muslim or not, his voice sounds the same & it. is. good.  He has a new album out.

My Little Man.

My very sweet friend, Hallie, bought this hat for Keagan for his birthday & I FINALLY took some photos of him wearing it! What do you think?  Hallie is THE BEST personal shopper. Seriously, if you ever need an outfit or if you are wondering if something would look good on you- just give her a call. 867-5309.

Technical Difficulties.

Memory Lane {Part 2}

I only made it half way through my photos before I ran out of steam last time. Hopefully I can finish up today. I've been forcing myself to take my camera places & I've been asking James to take his so he can capture some of the things he's been doing. I've noticed that my Project 365 is leaning heavily toward MY point of view. James' story (unless he's with me & my camera) is a little neglected.

Outdoors.

I'm learning to love the outdoors more every year. It's not that I don't like being outside, it's just that most of my daily activities require me to be in my home. And I LOVE being in my home!! I'm so thankful God called me to be a wife and a mommy- there's nothing else I would rather be. I'm so blessed to be a part of this amazing family. And James (along with my friend April) always reminds me how much fun it is to be outside in the sun- enjoying God's creation. James has been taking the boys mountain biking lately. On this particular trip, I dropped them at the top of the Lake & they made their way down. The boys did so great. I, on the other hand, was a little nervous. Unfortunately I didn't have my zoom lens so I can't show you how far they had to ride down!
